Course Information

Understanding critical appraisal is vital for how we look after our patients. We need to be able to understand the evidence behind our treatments and diagnostic decisions, so we know if we should apply what we read to the patient in font of us.

This one day course is designed to help you do just that. Written by clinicians and not statisticians, we teach you what you need to know as a Doctor, paramedic, nurse, pharmacist, physio etc and NOT what you need to know if you are planning the statistics of a research paper.

We start at first principles and move up through the day so that by the end of the course you have a great knowledge of how to read a paper.

The course teachers have a great deal of experience in teaching critical appraisal courses and have written two textbooks on the subject

This new course is designed for the whole multi-professional team.

As it is a new course, the costs are low compared to all other one day courses - but the quality is as good or better than similar courses with the emphasis on impact on clinical care.
